Greetings from the Rotary Club of Nanaimo Daybreak
I feel honoured to having been elected for the Rotary year 2019-2020 and following Ev Boegh as president of our club. Ev has done a wonderful job the past 18 months in growing and strengthening the foundation of our club. Nanaimo Daybreak has a diverse and dynamic membership, having two 10 year old members along with one family membership and a corporate membership.
Our club is a breakfast club that meets every Wednesday at 7:00 AM although many of our members are there by or before 6:30 to enjoy fellowship (hanging out) with other early bird members. We are a fun-loving group and the atmosphere in our club is very welcoming.
Rotary Daybreak is a mixture of men and women from all walks of life. We have business owners, professionals, working people, parents, grandparents, and retirees. We have a common desire to build relationships that result in plans, goals, and successful projects, which help to improve the life of many –in our community and the global community. We care about one another and we make an effort to have a little fun doing all these things.
We are part of a leadership organization that starts at the club level, is part of a District which spans the whole of Vancouver Island and Western Washington State, which is part of a Zone made up of 14 Districts in the western United States and Canada. This expands to 34 Zones worldwide. We are 33,000+ Rotary clubs in over 200 countries making 1.2 million people who are connected and work together to make a difference.
We invite you to become part of Rotary with us.
Yours in Rotary
Doug Lum, President
