Swing into Spring 2012 This was our sixth annual event. We raised funds for Vancouver Island University Music Students, to provide $$ bursaries for them to further their music career. How? We put on a party, with music donated by Nanamo Music Association Big Band, and VIU students showcasing their skills with voice and instruments. When? Saturday March 24th, beginning at 7:00 PM Where? City of Nanaimo's Bowen Senior's Complex at 500 Bowen Road (MAP), with probably the best dance floor in Nanaimo. Is their more? YOU BETCHA! Food by Tony & Charles, Gourmet Guys, (250-468-9429) providing the appies throughout the evening, an open bar, and silent auction. This year, Nanaimo North Rotary hosted our bar and added martinis, I hear their MANY practice sessions added to their skills..
